Service Description

Mindfulness for Neurodivergent Minds – Personalised 1-to-1 Sessions Service Description: At Commence CIC, we understand that mindfulness isn’t a one-size-fits-all practice, especially for neurodivergent individuals. Whether you experience ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivities, or other neurodivergent traits, our tailored mindfulness sessions are designed to work with your unique way of thinking and processing the world. These 1-to-1 sessions provide a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore mindfulness in a way that suits your needs. Instead of rigid techniques, we focus on adaptable, creative, and sensory-friendly practices that help with emotional regulation, focus, and overall well-being. What You Can Expect: ✔ Flexible and Structured Sessions – Sessions can be adapted to your attention span, sensory preferences, and processing style. ✔ Non-Traditional Mindfulness – Movement-based, creative, and sensory-friendly approaches to mindfulness (not just sitting still and meditating). ✔ Emotional Regulation Tools – Learn techniques to manage overwhelm, anxiety, time, routine and emotional fluctuations. ✔ Gentle and Judgment-Free Space – No pressure, no expectations, just a supportive guide to help you find what works for you. ✔ Custom Techniques – Choose from guided breathwork, visualisation, grounding exercises, self-compassion practices, and more. Session Breakdown : Welcome & Initial assessment (10 min) A relaxed start to discuss comfort levels and any sensory needs. Brief introduction to mindfulness and how it can be adapted for your unique thinking style. Grounding & Sensory Awareness (15 min) Choose from different mindfulness techniques based on preference: Gentle movement-based mindfulness (for those who prefer to stay active). Tactile/sensory grounding (using textures, objects, or nature). Guided breathwork (with or without visualisation). Mindful Focus & Emotional Regulation (20 min) Exploring simple, non-overwhelming techniques to improve focus and reduce overwhelm. A customised mindfulness practice (e.g., visualization, sound-based mindfulness, creative journaling). Interactive reflection: What works best for your mind? Closing & Takeaway (15 min) Gentle wrap-up discussion on how to integrate mindfulness into daily life. Personalised recommendations based on the session experience. Optional: Creating a simple, flexible mindfulness routine that fits your lifestyle.
